Gov’t Sets 3-Month Limit

The federal government has announced that all short-term policies sold in the US will now be universally limited to a 3-month duration.   This coincides with the amount of time a person can go without creditable health insurance and not be subject to a potential tax liability, as long as creditable coverage such as a federal (or state administered) marketplace plan, employer-provided coverage, Medicare, Medicaid, Healthy Indiana Plan, etc. is effective after that 3-month period.  For specific details click here.
