The government has announced new premiums and deductible amounts for 2017:
Medicare Part A deductible: $1,316 per medical benefit period.
Medicare Part B deductible: $183 per year.
Medicare Part B premiums:
Those who are already in the Medicare program: $109 per month.
Those who enter the Medicare program in 2017: $134 per month.
The federal government has announced that all short-term policies sold in the US will now be universally limited to a 3-month duration. This coincides with the amount of time a person can go without creditable health insurance and not be subject to a potential tax liability, as long as creditable coverage such as a federal (or state administered) marketplace plan, employer-provided coverage, Medicare, Medicaid, Healthy Indiana Plan, etc. is effective after that 3-month period.
